About the Programme

This module provides knowledge on basic components of management in Islamic financial institutions which covers the structural components, characteristics of banking products, current practices, protocols and its limitations.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the module, learners should be able to:

  • Identify the structure of a business organisation from Islamic perspective;
  • Demonstrate the approaches to rationalise and prioritise strategies for effective execution for optimum result;
  • Relate the importance of human capital management in meeting organisational goals in the long run;
  • Apply the essential elements in holistic leadership skills;
  • Demonstrate the importance of governance policies and regulation in Islamic bank management;
  • Outline the framework of internal control and compliance in an Islamic bank;
  • Demonstrate the application of business intelligence in Islamic bank’s decision-making process;
  • Outline the area of research and development in the perspective of Islamic bank;
  • Identify the distribution structure of Islamic Bank;
  • Identify the types of risks exposures in Islamic banking business operations; and
